On Wednesday evening, George Floyd's brother, Philonise Floyd, Rep. Shelia Jackson Lee and Attorney Ben Crump spoke with Roland Martin on Black Lives Matter Plaza in Washington DC before marching down the boulevard and holding an impromptu rally not far from the White House.
Philonise Floyd told Roland he and his family came to Washington DC to speak before Congress because they "need justice" for George Floyd.
The rally which proceeded down Black Lives Matter Plaza came hours after Floyd testified before a Police Brutality hearing where he told lawmakers, "I’m tired! I’m tired of pain! Pain you feel when you watch something like that. When you watch your big brother, who you looked up for your whole life, die, die begging for his mom."
He continued, "I’m here today to ask you to make it stop. Stop the pain. Stop us from being tired."
