17:16Now PlayingThe monthly jobs report came out on Friday and the economy added another 1.8 million jobs in July, a sharp slowdown from June and a small step for an economy that's still down 12.9 million jobs during the pandemic.
The unemployment rate fell in all demographic groups but remains the highest by far for Black workers at 14.6%. This disturbing metric proves that African Americans are at the bottom of the recovery effort.
Gbenga Ajilore, Senior Economist for the Center for American Progress spoke with Roland Martin during Friday's edition of #RolandMartinUnfiltered about how Black workers are essentially being left out of the pandemic recovery and exposed the liar-in-chiefs dishonest rhetoric surrounding joblessness in Black America.
