WTH?!? 'A Line Was Cut'? Virginia Voter Registration Site Goes Down On The Final Day To Register

A computer outage has taken down the online registration system statewide on the final day for registration in Virginia.

The site is used for first-time registrations as well as registration updates was inaccessible.

The site that went down with the computer outage also allows Virginians to apply for an absentee ballot and see the location of their in-person polling place.

The elections department allows registration through a paper form that can be mailed in but must be postmarked Tuesday, the deadline for new voters to register for November's election.

Virginia's Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax spoke with Roland during Tuesday's edition of #RMU about the outage and discussed what is being done to get people registered to vote who were unable to do so after the outage.
