The UK became the first country to administer Pfizer and BioNtech's Covid-19 vaccine.
The companies are now saying people with a significant history of allergic reactions should not take the vaccine after two healthcare workers experienced symptoms the day after taking it.
Pfizer and BioNTech maintain their stance that there are "no serious safety concerns" with taking the vaccine. Yet, allergy related side effects have been a prime reason why many other Covid-19 vaccines have not been approved.
As coronavirus cases continue to balloon across the nation, the virus continues to claim the lives of Americans at an unprecedented rate.
Dr. Magdala Chery, Commonwealth Fund Fellow in Minority Health Policy at Harvard University has experience the impact of COVID-19 in a way not many other have. She tragically lost both of her parents to the insidious and unrelenting disease.
