20:38Now PlayingLast week, the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee, led by Senator Ted Cruz, chose to delay the vote on United Nations Ambassador appointee Linda Thomas-Greenfield because of controversial remarks she made at a Savannah State University event in 2019.
Thomas-Greenfield gave a speech at the Chinese funded Confucius Institute on campus regarding China's relations and investments in Africa.
Although she says she regrets her comments, Senator Cruz and several of his GOP cronies rehashed the speech and questioned Thomas-Greenfield's approach on the threat of China.
