Dr. Greg Carr Breaks Down The Fight For Reparations & Says, "If You Don't Remedy This, It's Over"

Next week the House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights and Civil Liberties is set to hear testimony on a reparations bill.

Last month Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee announced the bill titled H.R. 40 would be reintroduced in order to create the reparations commission.

The reparations commission would study the history of slavery, the role federal and state governments played in supporting slavery and racial discrimination against the descendants of enslaved Africans.

Lee says the commission would make recommendations for any form of apology, compensation and atonement for slavery. She believes "economic issues are the root cause for many critical issues impacting the African American community today."
