St. Louis' circuit attorney Kimberly Gardner says she will continue to seek justice in the case of Lamar Johnson, a Black man who she believes was wrongfully convicted for murder over 25 years ago.

On Tuesday, the Missouri Supreme Court refused to grant Johnson a new trial, stating Gardner lacked the authority to appeal a case decades after it was adjudicated.

During Wednesday's edition of #RMU, Roland, Monique Pressley, A. Scott Bolden and Robert Patillo spoke with Gardner about the case and about how justice can be served.

Johnson was convicted in 1994 for allegedly killing a man over a suspected drug dispute. He says he is innocent. Gardner's office has not announced whether they will appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.
