22:08Now PlayingThere is another stunning officer-related death - this one in Texas. On her 46th birthday, the family of an unarmed Black woman who was shot and killed by a Baytown police officer in May 2019 filed a federal civil rights lawsuit today.
The night Pamela Turner encountered Officer Juan Delacruz, she was in emotional distress.
Delacruz was indicted by a Harris County grand jury in September 2020, more than a year after Turner's death. He's charged with felony aggravated assault by a public servant.
Benjamin Crump, attorney for the Turner family spoke with Roland Martin about the wrongful death suit during Thursday’s edition of #RMU.
