Apr 17, 202112:50Now PlayingIn Manhattan Beach, California, a bill has been introduced to return Bruce's Beach to Black descendants of the family that owned it nearly 100 years ago.
In 1924, the city took the property through eminent domain and paid the couple a fraction of their asking price.
When the legislation passes, the family plans to hold a family reunion on the beach.
Roland Martin spoke with California State Sen. Steven Bradford about the bill to return Manhattan Beach resort to its rightful owners.
