These People Have No Shame! Repbus Block Commission To Investigate Deadly Jan. 6 Capitol Attack

As expected, Republicans blocked the Senate from moving forward on a bill that would establish a bipartisan, independent commission to investigate the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection.

Democrats needed 10 Republicans to vote 'yay' to advance the legislation to overcome the GOP filibuster.

Just six -- Senators Mitt Romney, Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, Ben Sasse, Rob Portman, and Bill Cassidy -- voted in favor of the bill.

The measure would have established a 10-member outside panel to delve deeper into the origins of the riot at the Capitol and what exactly happened on Jan. 6.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer had a few choice words after this morning's vote.
