This comes after Mississippi health officials issued a statement to all residents after receiving an uptick in calls to poison control from people who took the drug.
A new report from Wallet Hub names the safest states in the country during the Coronavirus pandemic.
Vermont, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Jersey have the highest vaccine rate.
Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, Vermont, and Maine have reported the lowest positive test rate.
Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, and North Dakota have the lowest hospitalizations.
Vermont, California, Connecticut, and Wisconsin, and Washington, D.C. reported the lowest death rates.
Meanwhile, southern states like Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Kentucky, Texas, and Alabama have the most unvaccinated residents, hospitalizations, and deaths.
Right now, the U.S has reported over 38-million cases and 645-thousand deaths since the start of the pandemic.
Dr. Tyson Bell, Critical Care, and Infectious Disease Specialist at the University of Virginia spoke with Roland Martin about the FDA granting full approval to Pfizer and the critical need for Americans to get vaccinated against the deadly pathogen.
