On Thursday, Roland Martin spoke with Until Freedom co-founder Linda Sarsour about the supply drive and about the United States poor treatment of thousands of Haitian migrants who traveled thousands of miles across South and Central America with the hopes of seeking asylum.
Sarsour ripped the United States government for failing to send supplies to the desperate Haitians that gathered by the thousands under a bridge at the Rio Grande River.
She told Roland helping our Haitians brothers and sisters at the border is also a way to "shame the United States government for the treatment of the Haitian migrants".
Sarsour added, it is the United States' "responsibility to bring supplies to dignify these people, to support these people who are literally in desperation".
