'I Can't Breathe At Howard University': Students Decry "Horrid" Housing Conditions At The HBCU

Howard University students would rather live in a " Tent City" rather than deal with their current living conditions continue.

Students across the campus have been protesting the "horrid" conditions for nearly three weeks.

Protesters say their requests aren't "demanding" considering the cost of tuition.

Last week was the universities' homecoming; however, the festivities were overshadowed by the unrest on campus.

Several organizations and notable figures are speaking out against the conditions, including rapper Gucci Mane, who was slated to perform at the "Mecca's" Yard fest.

The artist pulled out of the concert and decided to stand in solidarity with the students on campus.
