The surviving family members say that no amount of compensation will ever be enough.
They accused the FBI of negligence when it allowed a licensed firearms dealer to sell a gun to Dylann roof.
Families will receive anywhere between five million to seven-and-a-half million dollars.
Roof is now on death row.
On Thursday, Roland Martin spoke with Rev. Sharon Risher about the meaningful settlement. Rev. Risher's her mother and two cousins died in the Mother Emanuel AME Church massacre.
