Is Build Back Better Dead? House Progressives Press Biden To Enact BBB Through Executive Action

Some Democrats say they are open to breaking up the 'build back better' act into smaller, stand-alone bills while also urging President Biden to take executive action to push the bill forward.

That's after President Biden's plan stalled in the Senate.

During an interview with the hill democratic Maryland senator, Ben Cardin says many in his party are ready to do what it takes to help out the American people.

Cardin said splitting Biden's plan into stand-alone bills could attract party holdouts and possibly GOP members.

Meanwhile, Representative Pramila Jayapal of Washington state urges President Biden to enact the Democrats' massive social-spending package through executive action after Senator Joe Manchin's opposition derailed the bill.

Democratic senators are expected to meet to discuss policy priorities when the Senate returns next week.
