Roland Martin Unfiltered is LIVE from Kansas City, Missouri, at the Robert J. Mohart Center
Tonight, we have a town hall sponsored by The Urban League of Greater Kansas City. And we are talking about Racism in the Kansas City Police Department: Addressing the Black and Blue Divide.
We have folks from this community here to talk about the discrimination issues within the Kansas City Police Department. Just yesterday, two black female officers filed a lawsuit against the Kansas City Board of Police Commissioners for discrimination against their race and gender.
We'll also discuss why there is a push for a Department of Justice Investigation and a need for local control.
We aren't here just to talk about the problems. We want to find the solutions for reimagining public safety and building community trust.
We have a lot to unpack and discuss tonight, live from Robert J. Mohart Center here in Kansas City, Missouri.
