27:38Now PlayingFormer Virginia Lt. Governor Justin E. Fairfax has filed a $35 million lawsuit against "New York Public Radio" WNYC-AM/FM for comments made during an August 2021 episode of its syndicated public radio show "The Takeaway."
The defamation lawsuit focuses on comments two guests made on the show alleging what Fairfax says were "fictitious and intentionally fabricated" sexual assault allegations against him from incidents in 2000 and 2004.
Fairfax's lawsuit contends that the station aired the interview with the Women despite a "high degree" of probably that their allegations were false.
