9:20Now PlayingIn Georgia, a special prosecutor reviewing the shooting of a black my by an Atlanta police officer has decided to drop the charges against both officers involved.
Garrett Rolfe was charged with felony murder, and officer Devin Brosnan faced aggravated assault charges in the June 2020 death of Rayshard Brooks.
The 27-year-old Black man was shot and killed by Rolfe outside a Wendy's restaurant after failing a sobriety test. Brooks took a Taser from Rolfe and was shot twice in the back as he ran away.
Attorney Pete Skandalakis said his investigation led to him dropping the charges against both officers.
Skandalakis says he's filing an administrative dismissal to drop the charges.
