Earlier this month, the Federal Bureau of Investigation released its annual hate crime statistics for 2021. It found that African Americans continued to experience hate-based crimes at the most dramatic rate, with 63.2% of all single-bias incidents in 2021.
This year alone, about a third of the nation's historically Black colleges and universities were targeted in 2022.
Black students in predominantly white colleges are also facing increased incidents of hate. Recently, a student was attacked at Penn State and injured by four proud boys.
Reverend Todd Yeary spoke with RMU guest host Robert Patillo about the rise in hate crimes toward African Americans.
