Metro Nashville Council reappointed Jones as representative.
It was a "Day of Action" in Tennessee, supporting the two youngest ousted Democratic representatives, Justin Jones from Nashville and Justin Pearson from Memphis.
A rally was held before the reinstated Jones.
Jones, Pearson, and Knoxville Rep. Gloria Johnson broke house rules when they approached the House podium without recognition, leading the protesters to chant for gun reform. Despite most of the Tennessee House voting in favor of ousting Johnson, the expulsion failed by one vote.
