Michigan, Republican state Representative Matt Maddock sparked controversy with his remarks at the fundraiser "Free The 16 Electors Poolside Party!" at his home. In an audio recording obtained by the "Messenger," Maddock warns supporters that a "civil war" could erupt or that people would get shot if the government continued targeting conservatives.
State Rep. James DeSana is also heard discussing getting a resolution to impeach States attorney Dana Nessel because Maddock's wife Meshawn Maddock, the former co-chair of the Michigan Republican Party, is among 16 Republicans indicted by Nessel on charges of falsely claiming they were duly elected electors for Donald Trump.
