5:54Now PlayingProPublica's newest investigation about Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, released today, may be the most damning.
The report indicates that Thomas has, on at least two occasions, secretly attended donor events in Southern California hosted by the Koch network, the conservative political fundraising arm founded by the billionaire Koch brothers.
Thomas was reportedly asked to speak at one of the Koch network meetups.
ProPublica noted that put Thomas in the "extraordinary position of having served as a fundraising draw" for an overtly political organization that has "brought cases before the Supreme Court.
Federal judges are barred from mixing socially with groups like the Koch network. However, Supreme Court justices have significantly more lax ethics rules.
