The order moves the White House Initiative on HBCUs right into the President's Executive Office, signaling a push to make these schools a bigger priority.
The plan promises to build stronger partnerships with private companies, help HBCUs compete for more federal research dollars, and prepare students for high-growth careers in fields like tech, healthcare, and finance.
A new presidential advisory board will also guide the work, bringing together leaders from business, philanthropy, and education, including current HBCU presidents.
