Video shows 32-year-old Don Taylor walking away with his hands up when police fired a fatal shot into his back. According to the family’s attorney, there was no reasonable, rational, or legal justification for the shooting, and no attempt was made to use lesser force. Months after the August 3 shooting, the family still does not know the name of the officer who fired the shot or whether police were even executing a warrant. The lack of answers has left the family and the public without accountability for a police killing caught on video.
