Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett blasted the Roberts Court during a congressional hearing, saying, “This court is racist, this court is immoral, and this court lacks any semblance of ethics.” She tied the Supreme Court's actions to Black political erasure across Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia, Texas, Virginia, and other fights over VRA and majority-minority districts. Crockett argued that Republicans packed the court, used redistricting to target Black representation, and relied on the court to help lock in a racist agenda for decades. She called for expanding the court, adding ethics rules, imposing term limits, and meeting the power grab with fire.
