Two young Black brothers in Kansas City were selling lemonade when someone called 911 on their stand. Police and firefighters showed up, but instead of shutting the boys down, they bought lemonade and helped them sell out. Roland Martin praised the officers for their community policing response, then blasted the person who called 911 and said Black people cannot even sell lemonade without somebody calling the cops. The panel connected the incident to the broader pattern of Black people being criminalized for everyday life, from barbecuing and walking down the street to children simply trying to make money and help their family.
