YouTube Description
as posted by the channelThe UK government has announced it will ban access to social media for every child under the age of 16, framed entirely as an act of child protection. Russell Brand argues the real motive has nothing to do with children at all, pointing out that a society genuinely organized around protecting its young would look completely different, from the vaccines it offers to the food in school cafeterias to the strength of its communities. What the policy actually accomplishes, he says, is forcing every single person who uses the internet to tether their IP address to verifiable government ID, all under the cover of a cause no one would publicly oppose.
