The Russian narrative behind this story is that a Ukrainian soldier tried to surrender to a Russian Drone. A Ukrainian FPV drone killed the surrendering Ukrainian soldier as the Russian drone lead the soldier back to Russian lines.
However, there is a non-zero chance that the soldier was killed by a drone that had missed its target and was turning around or by an FPV drone that was on its way back to Ukrainian lines after a filed mission which decided to hit a target of opportunity.
The most telling indicator is that Russian Telegram and Twitter seems to be promoting this narrative hard.
