What do Ukrainian soldiers actually eat on the front lines—you’re about to be surprised.
In this video, I talk with James from SK Media (), a foreign volunteer and former FPV drone pilot in Ukraine, about what Ukrainian troops eat, how they eat it, and why food matters so much more than people think. From oldschool MREs to surprisingly delicious plov, from salami and protein bars to the energy drinks that keep brigades awake at 3 a.m.this is a side of the war you rarely see.
We also talk about the hard reality of frontline life: why some soldiers intentionally don’t eat much near the line of contact, how drones turn everyday necessities into life-threatening moments, and why even a trip to the bathroom has to be a tactical decision.
Food tells you a lot about a country, a culture, and a military. And what Ukrainian troops are eating right now tells you something important about their resilience, their morale, and what they’re fighting for.
