The airstrikes against Iran have been underway for several days, and the entire world is watching. But one country is probably watching closer than anyone else: China.
If Beijing ever decides to invade Taiwan, it won’t just be thinking about amphibious landings or missile strikes. It will be thinking about what happens after the war begins—when the United States and its allies start fighting back.
In this video, I break down eight key lessons China can learn from the U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran, including:
• How the U.S. can blind an adversary before the first bomb drops
• Why Joint All-Domain Operations (JADO) allows the U.S. to hit thousands of targets quickly
• What long-range stealth bombers mean for countries that think distance equals safety
• Why leadership targets, insider threats, and covert operations matter
• How missile defense, magazine depth, and pre-emptive strikes change the equation
• Why the U.S. is now adopting cheap attack drones after lessons learned in Ukraine
• And how alliances and coalition warfare can turn a regional conflict into a global problem
Iran and China are very different adversaries, but conflicts reveal capabilities. And right now, China’s military planners are almost certainly taking notes.
Wishful thinking is not a substitute for strategy.
