China built a world-class economy, but their is one problem: It runs on oil.
Trump’s Strait of Hormuz blockade means that China runs out of cheap oil on on June 8th. This forces China into four possibilities:
1. Pressure Iran to agree to whatever the US wants.
2. Naval escorts for Chinese shipping
3. Retaliate against the US economically
4. Do nothing
This is a dilemma. A problem has one solution, a dilemma has multiple solutions, each of which are equally bad.
