Building a resilient Saint Lucia and setting our country on the path to sustainable growth will be a major focus of the Prime Minister’s Budget Address on Tuesday April 3rd 2018.
Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Economic Growth, Job Creation, External Affairs and the Public Service, Honourable Allen Chastanet, will table the Appropriation Bill 2018/2019 and deliver the Budget Address at 4:00 PM.
The Prime Minister’s Address follows the debate on the Estimates of Expenditure which took place from March 20th – 22nd 2018. The Prime Minister will review the progress made by the Government in 2017, especially as it relates to alleviating poverty and improving and building resilient industries. The Prime Minister will also continue to expound on the key areas of focus for the Government which includes Creating Sustainable Employment, Improving Justice and Security and Re-engineering Social Services.
