The Government of Saint Lucia launches the Canelles Resort development. The luxury resort and residential community will be located at the Canelles estate on the island’s southeast coast; the US ambassador hands over two satellite phones to the National Emergency Management Agency and the Office of the Prime Minister in an effort to build the country’s capacity to respond to natural disasters; and the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan) disburses additional funds under the Constituency Development Program.
