The National Conservation Authority (NCA) is concerned about a growing trend of the illegal dumping of waste at the Pigeon Island causeway.

On 12 February, MP for Gros-Islet, Hon. Lenard Montoute, accompanied officials from the National Conservation Authority along with the Saint Lucia National Trust, Saint Lucia Solid Waste Management Authority, Sandals Resorts and the Landings, on a site visit to assess the situation. The MP has made an appeal to residents to stop the practice.
