The Cabinet of Ministers met earlier today. Based on recommendations by the Central Command Unit, several decisions were made. The following take effect on July 10, 2020.
1. The reopening of cinemas following with the implementation of proper protocols
2. The reopening of early childhood development centers with the implementation of proper protocols
3. The allowing of tournaments, sporting events, and contact sports with protocols for attending spectators. Maximum number of spectators allowed – 200.
4. The opening of the yachting sector with strict protocols.
5. As of July 10, curfew hours will no longer be in effect.
As Saint Lucia moves into phase five which entails the reopening of borders and the tourism sector, it is imperative that the capacity to effect measures in a timely manner remains available.
