The Prime Minister explained that the bill seeks to initially decriminalize up to 30 grams of cannabis for one’s personal use, with more comprehensive legislation and regulations for the entire Cannabis Industry to come. Hon. Pierre added that the changes to the legislation in no way encourages members of the public to recklessly consume cannabis.
