1:06Now PlayingThe Ministry of Infrastructure, Ports, Transport, Physical Development and Urban Renewal has announced the commencement of the second phase of the Cul de Sac Bridge Reconstruction Project. The works will involve the construction of the bridge’s superstructure, beginning with the assembly of scaffoldings for the construction of PC Hollow Slab Girders.
The Project for the Reconstruction of Bridges in the Cul-De-Sac Basin aims to mitigate against the severe flooding that occurs in Saint Lucia’s second largest flood plain. A grant agreement to finance the project was made between the Government of Saint Lucia and Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) on August 2017.
