YouTube Description
as posted by the channelThe NEMO in Collaboration with CDEMA felt as part of CDEMA’s planned series of preparedness activities across their participating states, Saint Lucia would benefit from additional training for the NEOC team.
The Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) continues to chart forward in its Strategic Plan 2022 – 2027. Strategic Objective # 2 speaks to building the Next Level Regional Response Mechanism (RRM) with one of the outputs to strengthen protocols, systems, standards, plans, and procedures of regional, national, and community emergency preparedness and response mechanisms. Further to the above, the CDEMA Coordinating Unit (CU) Preparedness and Response Department (PRD) has planned a series of preparedness activities across the CDEMA Participating States (PSs). Included in these activities are regional and national stakeholder orientation and consultation workshops. These workshops are geared towards reorienting national stakeholders to the regional and national disaster management mechanisms, reviewing and updating national disaster management plans and annexes, and basic level training across specific Emergency Service Functions (ESF) of the National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC).
