1:21Now PlayingPerformance-Based Financing, a pilot programme by the Ministry of Health, ensures that both diabetic and hypertensive clients receive lab tests at no cost.
Those who do not suffer from the conditions will receive free screening and risk assessments.
The programme is now underway in eight community centres: La Croix, Jacmel, Richfond, Mon Repos, Desruisseaux , La Fargue, Dennery and Soufriere.
