The island’s four-member delegation is led by Minister for Equity, Social Justice and Empowerment, Hon. Joachim Henry, accompanied by Permanent Secretary Dr. Charmaine Hippolyte Emmanuel, Head of the Welfare Division, Jahn McFarlene, and Mr. Carlton Henry, from the Permanent Mission of Saint Lucia to the United Nations. The high-level event will run from November 1 to 7, 2025, under the theme of Accelerating Progress on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Strengthening the Implementation of the Copenhagen Declaration and Programme of Action.

Delivering Saint Lucia’s national statement, Minister Henry congratulated and thanked the Government and People of Qatar for hosting the historic gathering. Minister Henry said. “We welcome the momentum that the adoption of the Doha Declaration will bring as we continue working to improve the lives of our people, eradicate poverty, and build more inclusive and sustainable societies.”
