YouTube Description

as posted by the channel

A delegation from the Pan American Health Organisation (PAHO) paid a visit to Saint Lucia to meet with representatives from the Ministry of Health, non-governmental organisations, public health practitioners and other key stakeholders to review the plan for accelerating the elimination of cervical cancer as a public health concern. The session provided an opportunity to discuss and assess the progress Saint Lucia has made in the areas of HPV vaccination, cervical cancer prevention, screening and treatment. The review of the plan will allow for the identification of gaps and strengthening of the systems to limit the impact of cervical cancer to the population

The Pan American Health Organisation (PAHO) has committed to providing support to Saint Lucia in the areas of building capacity of professionals and provision of equipment and supplies, to name a few.
