"Approximately 1,100 workers in Alabama are continuing a strike against Warrior Met Coal after the union rejected a tentative agreement negotiated with the company last week.
The United Mine Workers of America (UMWA) announced the strike, which began the night of April 1, will continue, as will negotiations with the company.
“Our members made it clear that the tentative agreement was not sufficient enough to make up for the sacrifices made in 2016,” International President Cecil E. Roberts said."
