3:01Now Playing@NewsmaxTV host Greg Kelly thinks that Australia is "SO WEIRD" for going back into lockdown due to the Delta variant of Covid-19. He thinks that Americans would love another shutdown, too, because during the first one, "a lot of people enjoyed it; stayed inside, watched a lot of movies, got high, drank, whatever — didn't have to go to work." Greg Kelly. We agree with you that "going to work is a drag." But for those of us lucky enough to keep our jobs during the first Covid lockdown, we still had to work. While living in paralyzing fear, in a confined space, unable to see anyone we loved who did not live with us. It wasn't "fun." It wasn't "cool." It was horrible and millions of people died. We don't want another lockdown — we want everyone to get vaccinated.

Sam Seder: here is newsmax host Greg Kelly contemplating why people are trying to avoid getting Covid. it is because they want to go back into their house and party
Greg Kelly: look i don't want to become like australia, and i don't want to shut down again you know they deployed the military to keep people inside? they have. it's so weird what's happening. but here's...
Emma Vigeland: As opposed to deploying the military to assault peaceful protesters. Greg Kelly's all for that.
SS: well wait a second but i want to also add one thing here like um doesn't it ruin their narrative that like when they start talking about other countries having to shut down doesn't it ruin their narrative like this is some type of like control mechanism or is it like control mechanism like the whole world's establishment is controlling all of our population
EV: well no it fits into it it fits into the the american exceptionalism they're trying to to put forward right like the the fact that other countries are doing it it shows why if we were to do it there we'd be un-american and losing our freedom et cetera you know australia is just a scary place
SS: indeed all right there
GK: ...military to keep people inside. they have it's so weird what's happening down there. but here's something else and it is kind of weird but it's also human there are plenty of people in this country who would love to shut down again they would love it do you remember the shutdown a lot of people enjoyed it stayed inside watched a lot of movies got high drank whatever didn't have to go to work uh there are a lot of people who look at that and say wow that might be fun again going to work is a drag. i know it's a drag, but it's a splendid drag, and we all have to fight this. we can't let that happen again, and i fear it's going that way.
EV: splendid drag is the name of my band
