Sam Seder: To the extent that anybody was going to stop this war it was going to be sort of like moderate to you know slightly left you to know mainstream democrats who would say we're not on board with this and Thomas Friedman support.
Emma Vigeland: It's they get to feel like they're a part of some trade secrets and it's like this.
SS: Trade secrets and also like they're playing god I mean this is like you know this is a decision that like kings used to make a right going to war and now you get a little bit of like this is like you know have you ever wanted to own a piece of art? Well now you can buy a share of it and for a guy like Thomas Friedman this is like part of being you know the ruling elite and the way that I do that is I push that you know going to war and I do it with a pen. Yes, and I do it with my perch in the New York Times and with the backing of my billionaire wife. I think his wife is a billionaire and which also makes it a little bit easier then you can take a couple fliers.
EV: Well then you can walk poetically about the asymmetry that needs to be corrected, which what does that mean right? Because with the blood of other people you can with the ink of your pen write about the gorgeousness of the blood of other people spilling to correct this asymmetry.
SS: and you can symmetrical buy a bunch of really bad metaphors.
EV: An asymmetrical bubble?
