Democrat @RepJayapal went on@CNN to fight back against the narrative CNN has crafted that Progressive Democrats are to blame if the Infrastructure Bill does not pass. Jayapal instead shifts blame to the eight so-called 'Moderate' members of the Democratic party who had refused to vote in support of the bill's passage. The Majority Report discusses how those eight Democrats don't want to see the bill pass as they fear that would mean increased taxes for those making over $400k and because the bill gives the government power to negotiate pharmaceutical drug prices.

Sam Seder: We have this dynamic on the two infrastructure bills one of which is actually the budget the first is the bipartisan framework bill the second is the 3.5 trillion dollar reconciliation bill. There was a deal made by Nancy Pelosi and some of these corporatists who are looking to get rid of essentially tax raises that would come in the bigger bill for people over four hundred thousand dollars a year. They want to roll back some rises in taxes you know the state local exemptions that was cut out years ago and so some of these corporatists and they also want to roll back they don't want prescription drugs to be less-

Emma Vigeland: Yeah

SS: The American public that's a huge problem-

EV: you can save the government money all of these things tax raises medicare negotiating with big pharma all of these things would save the government money which is what they say they're in favor of.
