We just wanted to talk about Joe Rogan's comedy and Dave Chappelle. Okay. Okay. Damn, I didn't expect this. So what did you think was gonna happen when you called? you just wait on hold. I don't know man. It's been like a week or two and I got off early today. I'm a little shaken up right now. but it's all good. All right, good. I'm glad you got off early. me too. Anyway, let's get on to the topic. I am a stand-up Canadian and I'm a black guy. dave Chappelle for several comedians is a hero, right? yep, and he is famously friends with Joe Rogan. which is whatever. my issue is currently if you got wrong about this I want you guys to tell me I'm off base and I'll shut the hell up about it. but I feel like it's weird how when George Floyd was murdered dave Chappelle had his special. it was like the nine-minute one and it was you know really impassioned and he had a lot to say about that right? so we move forward we have the buffalo shooting. also tragic. horrible. and I think it's great he's giving money I guess doing a show there and giving the proceeds to the families of the victims. that's great. where my issue kind of comes in is I feel like joe rogan's rhetoric and he seems to be friends with a lot of people whose rhetoric leads to those direct consequences. and it's odd how Chapelle. and I keep using Chappelle as a specific example because he's dipped his feet in social movements before and it just seems odd. sorry. yeah, go ahead. no, I think it's odd that he's kind of quiet about this or maybe doesn't want to or isn't taking the stance that hey my buddy seems to be buddies with a lot of people that hate people that look like me. you know?
