I grew up in a really really tiny town. so it was even more isolated in north Dakota. like I think matt you're from like are you from bismarck? bismarck man didn't you? yeah okay so like I mean at least you have some people around. like I grew up in a town of like a thousand people. I graduated with like 50 kids. it's really really tiny. There are like 20 churches. 15 bars. and it's just a really weird place to grow up. It's almost like growing up in Paris. for a thousand people. That's pretty good. about right yeah. but I mean that is an exaggeration but in the county maybe. but anyways so my whole life I've kind of been like you know paying attention to what my parents and my family and all the people I always say. And for a long time even when I was little I was like this doesn't seem right. like, are you guys seeing what I think you're saying? So anyways you know I grew up whatever I've always been like the leftist of the family. and it's interesting now because I actually because I'm actually mad. so I and my dad have a really weird relationship. I mean I think everybody's if you have conservative parents and you're very left-leaning it's difficult. and my brother too. and you know we talk a lot. but lately especially after the Roe decisions I kind of just lost it on them. you kind of what? I kind of just lost it on them. I was like y'alls are just you don't and they can't see my mom passed away. so it's just like it's always two against the one you know? It's just really obnoxious to never be able to win an argument. but I feel like literally just pounding at them all the time.
