YouTube Description
as posted by the channelJon Stewart has ostensibly done a lot of good, but there are times when he pulls his punches and he really shouldn't. Stewart has a tendency to defer to someone with certain credentials, even those people with the credentials spout nonsense in his presence.

Hi, this is John from Cleveland. John from Cleveland what's on your mind? About a month back Jon Stewart had an interview with Steve Hankey and he's of a school of thought like Ayn Rand-based capitalism. And I'm just tired of seeing Jon in the past. You know, I don't think he goes far enough in answering how we fix the system. but he at least identifies like something is wrong with how we're doing it. yeah. sometimes. But he likes and I see this a lot with liberals or even my conservative family. They will go hey this person has X credentials so they must know what they're talking about even if what they're talking about is complete BS. right. like oh, we need to stop programs that help the poor. like my mom's on Medicare and without it, she wouldn't be able to afford her fifty thousand dollar chemo treatment. right. so if he got his way he wouldn't be here. And I'm just like, why don't people like Jon Stewart, people who seem to be empathetic go oh well we got to hear him out because he has, you know, a college degree that says he knows what he's talking about. about I mean now you know why the Koch brothers go in and fund all of these like Professor you know why people fund like professorships. like when you seem like you know Charles David Koch professor of Economics at what you know whatever University it is. Now you know why they do this because there is in the marketplace of ideas one of the Dirty Secrets is that having you know credentialism essentially is a big currency in there. yeah, he's a CATO Institute guy. I'm looking at his Wikipedia in June 2020 Henke wrongly tweeted that Vietnam was among the quote rotten apples of coronavirus data after misattributing the country's zero death count as no data reported. After much outcry on social media a petition to Jons Hopkins University signed by 300 Vietnamese academics demanding an apology. and he issued a correction Twitter stated that the country has a perfect record of fighting against coronavirus. so you know just the guy.
