9:38Now PlayingA reporter asks Gov. DeSantis about Florida's decision to reject the introduction of a AP Black History course. DeSantis gives some details on the course, saying that one of the sections involved Queer Theory: "...That's the wrong side of the line for Florida standards."
Another reporter asks DeSantis why one of problematic sections in the course according to the state regards "Movements For Black Lives." DeSantis says this is because the standards for Black History in Florida are "...cut and dried history": "I view it as American History. I don't view it as separate history."
