Law schools are churning out more and more lawyers but we don't need more lawyers as much as we need a better type of lawyer.

Having spent this much time reporting on some of the more egregious and problematic players in the law field. And are ones who are indicative of that Dynamic. What can be done? Like structurally speaking. I mean I felt like law schools as an institution has failed miserably to address any of this. and part of the problem is too is like they're pumping out more lawyers there are only so many lawyers that we need. And they're pumping out a lot of lawyers and you know the old joke is a guy who graduates law school goes to his old Hometown because there are no lawyers there who put up his plaque and he gets no business until another lawyer moves into town. I am not that cynical about lawyers. But there needs to be some type of Reform. and it doesn't appear to be enough for the ABA of the bar association. Like the ethics within the Bar Association, they don't seem to be as aggressive as they used to be about these things. Yeah I mean I don't know what role if any there is for the bar associations much less the government in restricting how lawyers act. And to me, I did it among you know in addition to just like normal human beings so I hope we'll read the book I also really the kind of two of the main groups that I think could benefit from reading this is: One is the media which is really just like not done a good job with you know plenty of exceptions has not done a good job of covering these giant law firms like they would any other industry. I mean each of these big law firms is a multi-billion dollar institution. and yet I think in part because the legal industry has been really good at protecting itself in this cocoon of everyone deserves legal representation. Anyone who questions that is kind of Un-American. I think they have largely avoided media scrutiny and I think that should change.
